Good vibes! Good vibes!

Nothing is more attractive than a woman who can stand up on her own and knows what she wants. In need of a little confidence? Be inspired with some of my favorite uplifting quotes:

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers, you cannot be successful or happy."

- Norman Vincent Peale, author and minister

"I had to grow to love my body. I did not have a good self-image at first. Finally it occurred to me, I'm either going to love me or hate me. And I chose to love myself. Then everything kind of sprung from there. Things that I thought weren't attractive became sexy. Confidence makes you sexy."

- Queen Latifah, actress

"Wouldn't it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply that you would do just about anything if you knew it would make you happy? This is precisely how much life loves you and wants you to nurture yourself. The deeper you love yourself, the more the universe will affirm your worth. Then you can enjoy a lifelong love affair that brings you the richest fulfillment from inside out."

- Alan Cohen, author

"Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning."

- Mahatma Gandhi, freedom fighter

"As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. You have to be whole and complete in yourself. No one can give you that. You have to know who you are—what others say is irrelevant."

- Nic Sheff, author

"Often we don't even realize who we're meant to be because we're so busy trying to live out someone else's ideas. But other people and their opinions hold no power in defining our destiny."

- Oprah Winfrey, media mogul

"I am aware that I am less than some people prefer me to be, but most people are unaware that I am so much more than what they see."

- Douglas Pagels, author

Lately, lots of accessories cluttering up my jewelry box since I couldn't resist buying a few pairs of earrings. Yes, it has been my guilty pleasure as of late.  For the past few days, I've been in search for something cheap that I could use to organize all my accessories only to realize that I don't need to buy one. We should never underestimate the other uses of our household items. With a little creativity, you can have a beautifully organized accessories without spending even a single centavo.

So, here you go!

Corkboard

Who says it's only for your to-do lists and last-minute reminders? This is a very nice way to organize your necklaces without being tangled.

Hanger

It's amazing how this can also come in handy for sunnies, belts and scarves. You can also attach some hooks to hang your earrings.

Cover me up!

These pieces are inspired by the warm weather and the balmy sea air of La Familia Beach Resort in Samal.

Walking in a scorching hot weather at the beach calls for a fabulous cover-up like this. I've never been so comfy showing my broad back and flabby arms so this piece is a staple of my beach wear.

Beach cover-ups are just as important as your itsy bitsy tiny weeny bikini. It will not only make you look sexy and chic but can also help protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays.

It is all too easy to throw a towel around yourself after a dip in the pool or sea but nothing beats a fab cover-up that will enable you to continue looking as good as ever.

Someday...

One day you'll meet a guy
and ultimately he's going to find out
how you chew, how you sip, how you dance,
how you smell at every point in the day.
How your face looks underneath all your makeup.
How you love chocolates, how you can be hyper at times,
how games and shows make you really happy.
How cranky you can get when you're tired,
how you think you look bad in all your photos.
He's going to know everything about you.
And you know what?
He's still going to love you. <3

Florals!

I don't need a green thumb to show how I appreciate the beauty of flowers. Did I mention that I'm a sucker for anything in floral prints?  I love the fact that flowered patterns never go out of style. It's so feminine and summery. If you're a girly-girl like me, you can't really resist drooling over those fabulous floral tops, dresses, pants etc. at the malls. It should always be every girl's must-have.

Here's how I get away with floral prints:

What could be more summery than a dress like this?

A girl in a candy store - this look is youthful, innocent and fun!

You can also look elegant and sophisticated with florals

A floral cover-up adds a little fun to your look at the beach.

Floral blazers are making their way back in the fashion world! It really works fabulously well with dresses.

I love how this look brings out the sweet vibe in me (chos!)

Face time: Diamond Peel

We all want to have youthful, glowing skin without going under the knife and spending a fortune. When it comes to getting facial treatments, I don't really spend money like water. I do research first and read some reviews before I give it a try. So when my friend Aiza mentioned about "diamond peel", it piqued my curiosity.

What Is It?

  • A diamond peel treatment is a non-surgical procedure in which the skin is exfoliated to remove dead skin cells using actual diamond chips to vacuum the skin away. In order to do this, the top layer of skin is removed in order to rejuvenate the skin. The epidermal cell structure is actually restored, increasing the skin's elasticity and collagen levels.

Procedure

  • During a Diamond Peel, a skilled professional gently runs a hand-held device with a diamond tipped wand over the skin. A steady layer of diamond dust is applied to the skin and then vacuumed away, exfoliating away dead skin cells and removing fine lines and wrinkles. Wand tips of varying sizes are used to get into the tighter areas, such as around the eyes, nose, and mouth. Wands of different coarseness are also used on spots of the face where the skin is more sensitive. Each treatment should take about 20 minutes, but may take longer depending on the special needs of your skin.

  • Diamond peel can really do wonders for your skin. Take a look at these pictures below... need I say more? :)

It's painless and not irritating so you can go on to your daily activities right after the procedure.

I love how my skin looks slightly pink and rosy. No blush-on needed. It is more even and fresh-looking.

SugBohol

If there's one thing I love more than fashion, it's travel. Nothing beats the thrill of traveling. Aside from getting excited on planning for itineraries, I am of one those people who relish the thought of preparing and packing for my outfits. I don't know with you but when I pack, I usually want to bring my whole closet with me. If only I could have a bottomless bag. But since I don't, well no choice but to bring versatile pieces that can take me from the beach to the streets. So here are the outfits I've put together during my birthday vacation in Cebu and Bohol:

Super laid-back and cozy. That's how I describe this look. The shorts, tube and cardigan make this outfit easy and breezy. Vibrant hues can really make your day happy and lively! Plus the hat that adds a nice touch and keep this outfit stylish yet still comfortable.

Denim shorts: thrifted
Tube (dress): thrifted

This look is just so perfect for our itinerary on that day. I just wore my sunnies and I was all set for a day of fun! A big THANKS to Jan, Brix and Jessie for this maxi dress and Granny for my sunnies :)

Outfit:

Denim shorts are the easiest thing to wear with a teeny bikini. I find this outfit nice and cool. Perfect for hanging out in the sun.
