Minidress on a Merry Christmas

Christmas party with officemates and favorite gals just in one day? T'was a piece of cake! Since our office party was held at a resort, I chose to wear something girly and flirty. I've already mentioned in my previous post how much of a sucker I am for floral prints. There's really something about it that makes me feel happy and lively all day! 

What could be more striking than this pair of flip-flops? 

I didn't have time to change my outfit since I immediately head back to my hometown to have dinner, drinks and kris kringle with my friends. I would say this floral print dress was my best bet for a flawless transition from day to night. 

This dress fits me to a T and I love the color combination... MUCHO!

Turning 27 was quite difficult for me. I must admit that this was the year that truly made me feel like I still haven't accomplished much... that I need to bite off more --- a whole lot more than I can chew. But I'm proud to say that this year, I've grown to become a more independent and more mature person. And I've turned into the kind of person who likes to look at the bright side of things. There's just so much to be thankful for that  whenever trials come my way, I quickly think: "there's always a light at the end of the tunnel".

It's a GIRL!

Being pregnant, especially with a first child, is such an exciting time in a woman's life. And the most wonderful thing you can do for a mother-to-be is to throw her a baby shower. All credit to Dave and Sunshine who lifted a finger just to make it possible (clap! clap!). 

Choosing a perfect color pallete for her shower was a complete no-brainer for us: PINK, PINK and more PINK for baby Blossom!

Balloons can really spruce up a party room. Sunshine transformed every nook and cranny into a fun and colorful one with her own fair hands (three claps this time, chos!). The decorations are so adorable that we couldn't help but take it home, lol

Baby shower is incomplete without a game or two --- or three. 

One of the nicest gifts a friend can give to the mother-to-be is a set of thoughtful wishes. I just hope everything goes smoothly with baby Blossom's arrival. 

Everyone still enjoyed the party despite the little misunderstanding. Oh well, all's well that ends well. 

I can't wait to see booties and bonnets, ribbons and lace, little stuffed toys over baby Blossom's place! Tita-Ninang is very excited to see you soon! ;)

FLOWER-dressing!

Working in an online English school requires casual outfits. Good blazers, great pants, and go-to tops are most likely some of my daily staples. Following a dress code in the office doesn't stop me from looking fashionable and comfortable at the same time.  

The pleasing-to-the-eye floral blazers are back! It's so classy yet fun. Perfect for an everyday workwear. 

 The power of a white top can really tone down floral prints instantly.

One thing I like about floral blazers is that it's easy to throw on and effortless to dress up. Not to mention it can take you from the office to the after-party.

Walking on the wild side

RAAAWR! Yes, this is the expression I got from a co-worker first thing in the morning.

I'm not going to see anyone today. No special plans too after work. So why waste a good outfit? Well, I don't need to see someone nor make special plans at the end of the day just to dress up to the nines. After all, there's no rule that says you have to look frumpy just because you always have a monotonous routine. 

We all have those days when we just feel excited to wear something spiffy at a very good price. Who would've thought this leopard pencil skirt only costs less than a hundred bucks! Lucky me!:)

I guess one of the DONT'S in wearing leopard prints is not to overdo it (not unless you want to take risk looking like a wild animal, lol). So I played safe by wearing a black top. One of the best things about black is that you can mix prints with it quite easily. 

Leopard's been in fashion for some time now. I have always admired animal prints from afar but was quite hesitant if I could pull it off. Confidence and style are the key words here. What do you think about this look? Keri na? :D

There you go! So girls, never let a good outfit go unseen.

I love denims!

 It's easy to wear, hard to ruin and it never goes out of style. 

This outfit looks denim-over-denim but actually it's not. It's just the color of my top that makes it denim-ish. It's simple and effortless. I finished it off with a brown belt and a pair of pink open-toed sandals gave this look an extra hit of glam. 

Don't you just love this denim jumpsuit? It's easy to style and quick to put on. It's one of my go-to outfits. It can be a girl's best friend. T'was an unplanned nightout with friends so it didn't take me a long time to dress up. I just grabbed this piece, accessorized, tied my hair in a bun and put on my favorite hibiscus shade lipstick to add a little va-va-voom to this look and I was all set!

Oh my starry starry night!

I attended a wedding inspired by the twinkling lights of the stars and the soft glow of the moon last October 26. The deep blues, warm silver and white hues of the theme are fabulous. T'was incredibly romantic! I couldn't stop myself from singing "Starry, starry night. Paint your palette blue and grey.Look out on a summer's day. With eyes that know the darkness in my soul." I kid! But seriously, we got teary-eyed when the couple finally exchanged their vows and had a grand entrance at the reception.

The starry starry night wedding theme calls for (any shades of) blue motif. This dress is just so fabulous! It's a match made in heaven! The dress and I are meant to be! :) 

Reunited and it feels so good... :)

 I was very happy to spend time with these gorgeous girls. T'was a day full of laughter and chitchat, not to mention the "sariling-sikap" sa pag make-up moments, lol

This theme is one of the most beautiful and magical wedding theme I have ever seen.
